Information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR.

For data protection matters and to exercise your rights, please write to the postal address or the electronic mail address given in the legal notice, or use our contact page at coding9.de. We have not appointed a data protection officer, as the statutory conditions for doing so are not met.

2. Server log files & IP address

When you visit this website, the hosting infrastructure automatically records technical access data in server log files. This may include the requested URL, date and time of the request, the referring URL, the browser type and version, the operating system and the IP address of the requesting device.

Purpose: ensuring the technical operation, stability and security of the website (e.g. detecting and defending against abuse).

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and functional website).

Storage period: server log files are deleted after 14 days at the latest, unless a security-relevant incident requires longer retention.

3. Transport encryption (TLS)

This website is served exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection (TLS) to protect the confidentiality and integrity of data transmitted between your browser and the server.

4. Getting in touch

This website carries no contact form. No email addresses, names, message texts or other input are collected, stored or sent here.

For enquiries we link to the contact page of Coding 9 GmbH at coding9.de. That reference is an ordinary link: it sets no cookies, loads no content from coding9.de and transmits no personal data without your click. Only when you follow it do you leave this website.

Coding 9 GmbH is the controller for the processing on coding9.de as well; the privacy policy of coding9.de applies there.

What the click transmits: your browser requests the linked address and in doing so sends the usual connection data (your IP address among them) and, where applicable, this page as the referrer to coding9.de. The appended ?service=multidocker parameter preselects the form's topic and subject there so your enquiry reaches the right people; it contains no personal data.

5. Software download

The MultiDocker app can be downloaded directly from this website. The download is delivered from our own server; no third-party download service is used. It requires no registration, no user account and no personal data whatsoever — there is no form in front of the download button. When you download the file, only the standard server log data described in section 2 is processed.

Update checks in the app. The installed app can check periodically whether a newer version is available. To do so it requests a file from the same server the download comes from; no third-party service is involved. The only data transmitted is the technically unavoidable connection data described in section 2 — IP address, timestamp, and the app's identifier together with its version number. We transmit no system profile, no device or usage data, and no identifier that could be traced back to a person. The app asks before its first automatic check; that answer can be changed at any time under “Updates” in the app's settings. If automatic checks are declined or switched off, no connection is made unless you check manually. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering security-relevant updates (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

6. Fonts

All fonts used on this website are self-hosted and delivered from our own server. No external font service — in particular not Google Fonts — is contacted. Font delivery therefore involves neither a transfer of data to third parties nor a transfer to a third country.

7. Cookies & consent

Storing your decision. We store your choice from the consent banner in your browser's local storage (localStorage), not in a cookie. Only the selected categories, a version stamp and the timestamp are stored. This storage is strictly necessary so that we can honour your decision instead of asking again on every page view (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG; Art. 6 (1) lit. c and lit. f GDPR). You can delete the entry at any time in your browser settings.

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4. Only if you consent to the "statistics" category do we load Google Tag Manager and activate Google Analytics 4 through it. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Cookies or comparable identifiers are then set on your device and usage data is processed (including a truncated IP address, pages visited, time on page, approximate location, device and browser information) in order to analyse how the website is used.

Legal basis: § 25 (1) TDDDG for storing and reading information on your device, and Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR for the subsequent processing — in both cases solely on the basis of your consent.

Transfer to a third country: data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR), supplemented by standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 (2) lit. c GDPR). Despite these safeguards, access by US authorities cannot be entirely ruled out.

Consent Mode v2: before you consent, every consent-relevant signal (analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) is set to "denied". Only after your approval is the statistics signal updated to "granted" and the container loaded.

Storage period: identifiers set by Google typically have a lifetime of up to 24 months; retention of usage data in Google Analytics is limited to 14 months.

Withdrawal: you can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — with the button below, or via the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Local storage on the documentation pages. Beyond your consent decision, the documentation section — built with Starlight — keeps a display preference (starlight-theme) in your browser's local storage. The value stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and contains no identifier. It serves solely to render the pages the way you last saw them, and is therefore strictly necessary for the service you requested (§ 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG).

8. Hosting

This website runs on a server we rent in a data centre within the European Union. The hosting provider processes the data described in section 2 exclusively on our instructions, on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:
